InfoSec Engineer

Genesis10 is seeking an InfoSec Engineer for a 6+ month contract with our financial services client in Minneapolis. Three days per week on-site.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an InfoSecEngineer to join their team for a data center project. The engineer will be responsible for standing up new network appliances and servers, including one new build and a refinement of an existing build. The new build will serve as the golden image, and the existing setup will be adjusted to conform to this design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stand up Windows servers and integrate them into the infrastructure.
• Install, configure, upgrade, back up, and restore FireEye Network Security (NX) appliances.
• Implement Symantec DLP detection applications on Windows OS servers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Review and interpret build diagrams from other locations, interface with the project team, and complete assigned tasks.
• Participate in engineering design and project management meetings to ensure all requirements are defined, fulfilled, documented, and accurately reported.
• Provide regular detailed status reports and updates to the direct leader, project manager, senior engineer, and engineering teammates.

Top Requirements:

1. Advanced hands-on experience with technical network and system design and operational procedure documents.
2. Advanced hands-on experience with FireEye Network Security (NX) appliances.
3. Experience with troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.
4. Participation in engineering design and project management meetings.
5. Experience with Symantec DLP detection applications on Windows OS servers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ITSM solutions like ServiceNow.
• Experience writing queries in Sumo Logic to identify and resolve technical issues in logs.
• Experience integrating FireEye security alert and audit logs into a SIEM and centralized log archive.

About the Role: The successful candidate will supplement our engineering team to complete a data center project on schedule and support day-to-day operational tasks. The individual should be self-motivated, capable of gathering technical requirements, creating detailed task lists, and ensuring the completion and accuracy of technical service requests. They will also provide artifacts demonstrating task completeness and contribute to the team with regular status updates and detailed reports.
