Drywall Finisher

Rise Modular, LLC (Rise) is a full volumetric modular manufacturing company serving the multi-family apartment, hospitality, student housing and affordable housing sectors.

Job Description

The drywall finisher will prepare the drywall for painting and/ or finishing. Use paint application techniques and equipment to professionally finish interior surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Uses drywall compound to fill in and cover joints, screws, nails, and other imperfections.
• Sands joint compound once dry and applies drywall tape.
• Creates textured surfaces when required.
• Measures the area to be painted and determines quantity of paint needed to be used for the project.
• Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include sanding or removing prior finishes through use of chemicals.
• Mask, removes, covers, or otherwise protects nonpainted surfaces.
• Applies paint to interior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools.
• May apply wallpaper, specialty finishes and glazes.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' previous related experience.
• Ability to follow direction.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to distinguish among colors.
