About the Role

The Product & Live Operations Manager has a pivotal role within the publishing organization, responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a game. They collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to define and communicate the product vision, while ensuring the game is fun, engaging, and monetized effectively. From managing in-game content creation and optimizing the game's performance to analyzing player data and staying updated with industry trends, they drive continuous improvement and innovation. Their role encompasses both strategic and operational aspects, requiring them to balance player satisfaction and revenue generation. Ultimately, they play a crucial role in delivering a high-quality game experience, maximizing engagement, and driving the success of the publishing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with OTK Content Creators to incorporate gameplay feedback into product development, ensuring features are communicated effectively with the development team
  • Manage the development and implementation of the Mad Mushroom Platform, liaising with external agencies to enhance our publishing capabilities
  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and feature set in collaboration with the development team and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver a high-quality game that meets business and player needs
  • Ensure games are engaging, monetized effectively, and meet both business and player needs
  • Oversee in-game content creation, aligning it with product vision and player needs
  • Manage product budget, resources, and timely delivery of milestones
  • Analyze player data and feedback to make data-driven decisions for product improvements
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices for competitiveness and innovation
  • Optimize games for player engagement, retention, and revenue
  • Design and execute in-game events, promotions, and offers
  • Monitor player feedback, manage game economy, and prioritize feature updates
  • Perform additional related duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the video game industry, with a strong understanding of game development and publishing processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in product management, including defining product vision, roadmap, and feature set
  • In-depth knowledge of monetization strategies and experience in optimizing player engagement and revenue generation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret player data to drive data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing budgets, resources, and delivering milestones
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the gaming industry
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement based on player feedback and behavior
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance player satisfaction and revenue goals
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
