Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to evaluate customer products by utilizing standard methods (ASTM, ANSI, ISO, etc),
variations of known methods as well as custom requests. Test technicians work closely with coordinators/managers and customers to
assess a variety of products from the sleep system market including consumer, hospitality, military and medical

Responsibilities

Process samples for testing Perform mattress flammability tests as directed by customer specificationsOperate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department ManagerGather and record test dataOther testing includes durability and performance evaluations

Skills / Qualifications

Mechanical / electronics aptitude a plusStrong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deal with a variety of challenges in unique situationsWorks well with colleagues and customersAble to work in a fast-paced dynamic environmentWorking knowledge of laboratory safety Associates Degree or the equivalent in work experience welcomedPossess computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) as well as ability to adapt to custom software applicationsLifting requirements: lifting up to 50 lbs. often and up to 75 lbs. on occasion Ability to be on feet for long periods of time
