Duty Stations:
The salary range indicated in this announcement reflects the minimum locality pay up to maximum locality pay for all duty stations listed.
The range will be adjusted for the selected duty station. General Schedule locality pay tables may be found under Locality Pay Tables for Geographic AreasDuties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement plans, programs, operating procedures, and standards to effectively organize, manage and strengthen the OI&T programs associated with outreach, training, startup formation, and improved success with the application submission processes for technology focused entrepreneurs, especially those from underrepresented communities.
- Establish and recommend annual plans and budgets that meet legislatively required responsibilities and other innovation-focused legislation. Reduce the burden on technology focused entrepreneurs and increase underserved regions and communities' access to Federal R&D funding.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of plans, procedures, and standards to reach goals and objectives, and effectively strengthen and improve programs aimed at increasing the awareness, training, and early-stage development of technology focused small businesses. Use data analysis to measure program impact and trends and make recommendations for program improvement.
- Increase participation of the small business sector through nationwide outreach and promotion of the OI&T programs and initiatives. Organize and coordinate interagency working groups on innovation and entrepreneurship in the Federal research and development market, including on the successful commercialization of the research and development efforts. Work with other SBA officials in arranging for activities involving joint or complementary service to small businesses.
- Advise on a volume and variety of complex program decisions involving federal, state, academia, and private-sector innovation and technology programs to ensure inclusive and extensive program participation. In exercising federal-wide policy formulation, program monitoring, reporting, and evaluation, deal with SBA officials, Congressional stakeholders, and federal, state, and municipal agencies whose programs impact small business research and development and the commercialization of that technology.
