Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Our Medical Telemetry provides care for a diverse population of patients primarily patients needing telemetry and with a focus on respiratory conditions. We are one of the major teaching units in our hospital due to the wide variety of diagnoses and patient populations. It is a challenging and rewarding environment that fosters learning on a daily basis. Qualifications
Start date: Monday 9/30/2024
To qualify, must have CA RN license by 9/18/24
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience
- Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- BLS certification - American Heart Association
- ACLS certification - American Heart Association
- Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided
- Ability to:
- Deliver excellence in patient care through assessing formulating nursing diagnoses and establishing goals planning and implementing intervention and evaluating patient care outcomes.
- Read analyze and interpret hospital policies and procedures professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Write reports and procedures and document in the medical record.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers managers patients physicians family members and the general public.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as weights dosages flow rates proportions percentages and volume.
- Apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Critically think and problem solve.
- Read write and speak English.
- Must be able to complete entire program with a perfect attendance record
- Must be able to work 3 days per week after completing first 12 weeks
- Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays
- Must agree to terms and conditions of the program
Pay Range
$ $79.28 /hour
