Duties
  • Serve as Assistant Chief of Operations.
  • Provide highly responsible and complex executive level support to the Fire Chief.
  • Serve as the incident commander until relieved by the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief.
  • Plan and administer comprehensive firefighting and rescue programs.
  • Develop and manage standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Perform supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Monitor daily emergency response performance of operational units.
  • Recommend budget needs for specialized rescue equipment, contract services, formal training, etc.
  • Develop strategic maintenance plan for station facilities, apparatus, and equipment.
