Janitor - SEATAC Airport - Entry Level Friendly

Pay: $20/hour

Shifts Available: Day (5:30am - 2:00pm), Swing (1:30pm - 10:00pm), and Night (9:30pm - 6:30am)

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and committed Janitor to maintain cleanliness in Zone 1 of SEATAC Airport, which includes 3 terminals. The areas you will be responsible for include seating areas, bathrooms, lounges, lobbies, corridors, and arrival/departure gate areas. Tasks can vary from emptying waste baskets and ashtrays, dusting, spot cleaning, and basic floor servicing, to cleaning fixtures, floors, and walls. Some individuals may be assigned to our Special Projects team, where they will handle tasks such as window cleaning, seats cleaning/sanitizing, waste bin cleaning etc, that are outside of the daily checklists. This may involve team lifting/moving heavy tables, chairs, buckets. This is a full-time, long-term role with potential growth opportunities into lead, supervisor, and management roles within one of the world's largest facility services companies.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Months until direct hire.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Seatac, Washington.

Work Environment

The job involves working at SEATAC airport, either in the main terminal (public area) or one of the secure areas (various terminals). The schedule is 5 days/week, with two consecutive days off (unless a specific request for non-consecutive days off is made). Two breaks per shift. The role is largely mobile, with most time spent walking with a cleaning cart, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash. Offsite parking like LAZ Parking is the most cost-effective option, or you can take transit. Once you have a SIDA badge after a few weeks, you can sign up for a monthly pass for employee parking in the parking deck. Up to $80/month parking expenses can be reimbursed, provided receipts are given.
