Summary

The Supervisory Pharmacist is responsible for the total operation of pharmacy services for this AAAHC accredited community oriented outpatient facility, which includes, but is not limited to, organizing, planning, directing, evaluating, and implementing comprehensive pharmacy services that meets national professional standards. Major duties are supervisory and managerial in nature. The position is located at the Parker Indian Health Center, Parker, AZ. and reports to the Chief Pharmacist.



Duties
  • Lead and monitor the pharmacy division and responsible for the total operation of pharmacy services for the facility.
  • Formulates and implements overall pharmacy programs and plans to satisfy varying patient load requirements, adjusts staffing to ensure comprehensive services and meet other health care objectives.
  • Supervises and assigns work to employees in an efficient and selective manner to achieve satisfactory quality of health care and operations to maintain facility accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures all pharmacy policies and procedures are accurate and conforming to regulations.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of pharmaceuticals and supplies, actively managing department budget and procurement processes, and ensures the formulary meets the needs of the facility.
  • Day-to-day Pharmacy operations which includes providing leadership, direction and technical expertise in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of operational, procedural, and logistical integrity.
  • Serves as a senior pharmacist clinician, mentors and educates others
