Job Summary and QualificationsThe Hematology Lab Section Leader is primary responsibility for the accurate and timely performance of laboratory tests as assigned. The Lab Section Leader is responsible for their area of Lab - in this case Hematology. They are also responsible for the overall operations of the laboratory. This includes providing and supervising high quality lab tests, quality control, preventive maintenance of equipment, computer activities, and collection of specimens.
What qualifications you will need:- Two years experience required
- Certified from a nationally recognized clinical laboratory regulatory agency (ASCP, AMT, or NCA) or prove eligibility to sit for an MT/CLS certification exam. General requirements are at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Medical Laboratory Science and passing a certification exam.
- Knowledge of all areas of stat testing in assigned sections and all activities involved in lab sections where assigned. Supervisory and technical skills necessary to direct all activities involved in the lab section(s) he/she is responsible for. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
