Specific Job Summary

General warehouse and lettershop activities to include material handling and equipment operation. Meeting productivity standards, on-time performance, and other assigned tasks in a team environment.

Expected Contributions

• Allocates location and organizes received material for storage.
• Assist Inventory department in performing inventory physical counts.
• Examines incoming material for accuracy.
• Assists in maintaining the workflow of various mail jobs.
• Is responsible for equipment setup and preventative maintenance of folding, cutting, strapping, wrapping, and postage metering equipment.
• Assemble membership kits, packages and materials by hand as instructed by Lettershop Supervisor.
• Compiles materials for Freight/Shipping as instructed by Shipping Manager.
• Prepares material for various inserter jobs. (Cutting, folding, etc.)
• Assists in maintaining logs by logging when the job commenced, completed, the number of pieces processed, and the method of fulfillment.
• Is responsible for accurate recording and reporting of materials used and/or postage applied.
• Is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean and safe working environment in compliance with OSHA requirements and/or management instructions.
• May be required to operate forklift or company vehicle(s). (Appropriate certification/license required.)
• Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results.
• Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
  • utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.
  • establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others.
  • allocating own time effectively to meet goals in a manner that does not disadvantage other associates or groups.
  • contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).
• Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
• Performs other duties as appropriate.

Physical Requirements

Successful candidates must physically be able to:

• Stand, walk, sit, push/pull, demonstrate manual dexterity (writing, typing, fingering, handling).
• Comfortably lift a weight of 50lbs. to bench height of approx. 40".
• Able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours/day.
• Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) may be required while performing specific job functions.
  

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

• Must possess good basic mathematical skills.
• Must be mechanically oriented.
• Must possess good verbal communication skills. (English required & Spanish a plus.)
• Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to prioritize and manage time.
• Must be flexible to work in multiple environments of the distribution center and support all departments of the Company.
  

Specific Candidate Profile

• Must possess a High School diploma and be of sound physical health.
• History of excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must possess a minimum of two years warehousing experience.
• Must possess a minimum of two years of forklift experience.
• Must possess a minimum of two years of letter shop and finishing equipment experience.
• Must be computer literate and be proficient in People Soft, MS Office and MS Outlook.
