WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We are looking to add to our executive team and are hiring a Vice President, Operations. This highly visible role's goal is to govern the primary elements of Operations at Franklin Sports toward achievement of corporate goals for service excellence within agreed-to limitations of financial and space resources.
This is a Vice President level position and will develop and execute our strategy and process related to the primary elements of Operations at Franklin Sports, including but not limited to:
  • Inventory Procurement and Management
  • Logistics and Transportation
  • Warehouse, Distribution and Facility Management
The ideal candidate should have deep prior knowledge including management experience in a similar role. This individual will need to have the ability to juggle several priorities at once and will need to be able to work independently but also be able to lead. Travel to and from Memphis, TN will be required.

The position is located at our Headquarters in Stoughton, MA with a hybrid office option and will report to the President.

IN MORE DETAIL, YOU WILL:Inventory Purchase and Management
  • Lead in establishing policy, process and metrics to govern the achievement of corporate goals for customer service (fill-rate) goals within essential financial/space guidelines.
  • Oversight of 3rd party and internal data resources needed to forecast, plan, procure and manage inventory
  • Leadership and management of assigned employees
  • Departmental oversight and governance of planning, purchasing and processes related to supply chain management
  • Directing cross-functional S&OP team meetings with all departments (Sales, Product Management, Forecasting, etc.) toward achievement of common goals
  • Assuring monthly review of excess and obsolete inventory with the goal of elimination through Sales support
  • Facilitating any/all action plans necessary to maintain balanced inventory levels or to ensure customer service fulfillment level
Logistics and Transportation
  • Oversight over all international shipment policy and process
  • Oversight of third-party logistics and shipment support
  • Oversight of information systems necessary to facilitate effective communications and record keeping related to international and domestic logistics
  • Authority over annual negotiation of shipment and logistic contracts/costs
  • Representation to any/all government or oversight authoritative parties
  • Oversight of C-TPAT program implementation
Warehouse and Distribution
  • Authority over all Franklin domestic and Canadian distribution facilities and staff
  • Lead in selection and implementation of a WMS support system
  • Oversight of primary and secondary distribution facilities in Memphis
  • Achievement of customer shipment goals of on-time and complete delivery
  • Oversight of retail and on-line customer policy and process directives
  • Oversight of all domestic transportation and third-party distribution support
  • Other projects as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE:
  • Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management or related field required
  • Minimum 15 Years experience in Operations/Supply Chain Management
  • Proven management experience of diverse teams from Sr. Director level to Warehouse associates
  • Proven cross-functional team leadership capabilities

  • Willingness to travel via car, plane or train with travel to assigned locations with overnight stays.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Interact independently with internal and external parties, has the knowledge to make independent decisions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position does supervise employees.
