Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Per-Diem Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Digestive Care team and make a difference for our patients and our community.
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the supervision of the registered nurse, the LPN is responsible to observe and monitor patients, perform and document practical nursing practice at Regions Hospital, and to provide work direction to ACs and Volunteers; to perform and document dependent functions such as carrying out the physician's medical orders; to assist physicians with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.
We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. We are proud of the care we give each and every patient.
Work Schedule: Per-Diem
Required Qualifications:
*Completion of an accredited training program for Practical Nursing
*Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the State of Minnesota
*CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
*Six months practical nursing (LPN) experience
