Arcadis is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join an established and growing multi-national mining engineering team.In this position, you will lead geotechnical engineering on surface mining projects, including tailings facilities and open pits.A key responsibility will be engaging with experts and teams across an array of disciplines, including engineering, hydrology, geochemistry, water treatment, and planning and permitting.Project work may also include mine reclamation engineering and other environmental projects such as sediment remediation, waterfront structures, or in situ solidification and stabilization depending on qualifications.Provide leadership to our Geotechnical Engineering community and Mining Sector Team through an understanding of technical principals and current and future market conditions which support Arcadis positioning for growthPerform geotechnical engineering reviews and provide key input on critical projectsPost graduate degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or closely related fieldWorking knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Arc Map, or similar geospatial software
