Go Developer
Your task
Would you like to work as a Go developer (medior) at a growing proposition 'Pace' and ensure that this new and innovative service becomes a success in the security market? And would you like to work in a young, energetic and ambitious team that develops in collaboration with customers? Then read our vacancy quickly
Nedap is a listed multinational company with a rich history in security. We are the technological leader in this industry and to stay at the forefront of innovation, a start-up called Pace has been established based on this expertise. Based on the latest technologies, we provide a solution for large customers on a global scale. Every day, we rise to the challenge of making this new technology accessible to the people working with it and making a real impact on their professional lives.
What will you do?
As Go Developer, you will work on the back-end implementation of an online application used by large multinationals (with 10,000 to 60,000+ employees) to visually organise and manage access rights to workspaces. In short: "Who is allowed to enter where and when, and why?" We develop our solution in close contact with our customers.
'We solve the dilemma between a safe workplace versus manageability and "need to know" versus accessibility with modern techniques. We are unique in this and modern society increasingly demands solutions to this dilemma. Infrastructure will have to handle large volumes of requests and be designed to be resilient.' (Jeroen, Security Specialist)
Responsibilities
Daily standup;
Working on planned issues of the sprint;
Software design sessions in varying composition;
Contributing to sprint planning and delivery every fortnight;
Paired programming for cracking the hard nuts and knowledge transfer.
In our daily workflow, we use Gitlab, Confluence and Figma.
Your team
As a Go Developer, you will be part of the software development team. The software development team consists of 10-15 Developers. A diverse team consisting of Backend, Frontend, Architecture and Infra, and is a mix of juniors, mediors and seniors. There is also a product manager and commerçants who deal with business development and implementation.
We value the mutual relationships in the team and consider good and clear communication, cooperation and sociability important. We maintain a no-blame culture and always work forward. For instance, we take a new version to production several times a day. The team is young and dynamic and is constantly improving itself. There is plenty of room for own initiative.
Required experience and skills
As a Go Developer within our start-up team, it is important that you dare to innovate. Because we are breaking new ground, it is important that you are solution-oriented and work autonomously. You are highly communicative and have the skills to quickly understand the needs of colleagues, our users and other stakeholders. In addition, you recognise yourself in the following:
You have at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience with backend programming in a production environment / business context; of which 1 year of experience using Go as a programming language;
Affinity with code quality and maintainability; able to deal with extensibility and scale;
You have experience using Git version control;
Besides good command of the English language in word and writing, you preferably also master the Dutch language.
You are available for hours. Hybrid (remote) working is common within Nedap, but we expect you to be at our office in Groenlo at least two days a week.
