The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a clinical staff position with responsibility for specified patient care duties within Entaa Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC. Location is Columbia, MD

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shifts 8:00 am - 5:00pm

Weekend Work Not Required

Education:

Minimum of a high school diploma or possession of GED is required

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program

Required Work Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical setting or physician office. ENT and/or Allergy experience preferred

Licensure/Certification:

Medical Assistant Certification from a natiionally recognized accrediting agency such as the AAMA, NHA or the AMT

Current training and certification in basic life support (BLS) required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience with computerized EMR (electronic medical records) systems highly desirable; familiarity with use of computers required

Ability to perform routine job duties with minimal supervision and direction.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with staff, physicians, patients, families and outside agencies in such a manner as to gain their confidence and secure their cooperation and respect.

High level of patience, tolerance, and tact in order to deal effectively with people and time pressures.

Professional demeanor, attitude and appearance. 10. Initiative and assertiveness in dealing with problems.
