Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development and deployment processes, experience in researching and studying operations, designing, developing software solution, testing, and lifecycle support.
What You Will Do
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improve operation by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
Who You Are and What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Existing production applications and emerging technologies.
- In-depth experience in one or more of the following languages: Perl (Object Oriented Module pattern), C, C++.
- In-depth experience with JavaScript frameworks like , , but preferably
- Experience with Front-end Development languages: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS/SASS, jQuery and comparable libraries.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL / MariaDB)
- Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems, primarily Windows desktop and Linux based servers.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desired But Not Required
- Proficiency in Git and merge request workflows.
