Job Description Full-time remote: This role involves a candidate that can work independently and collaborate work with other groups, this position requires some on-site work at the MEC.This position is responsible for supporting all procurement activity for the CHIP Program from BAE preferred suppliers and/or Preferred Distributors. This role will work with other functions within the CHIPS Team to bring this key capability back to the USA. This candidate may be asked participate on cross-functional teams to ensure that BAE Systems leverages spend, effectively utilizes resources, drives to best practices, and improves overall supplier performance management. This position works closely with many internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to supply chain management, supplier quality, manufacturing, and programs. The successful candidate must have effective communication skills, build strong relationships with other team members. Be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives.
The chosen candidate will have previous Procurement experience selecting, placing and managing the cost, schedule and programmatics for complex deliverables.
Responsibilities include:
- The overall management of the CHIP Program and coordination with the Program management team, and Supplier Quality Team. Management of a Supplier's performance and continuous improvement.
- Work with Suppliers, Program Management to establish, implement and track supplier deliveries against the Plan.
- Participant in Negotiations.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with Program leadership, Business Area Procurement teams, Supplier Quality Assurance team members, internal customers and programs.
- Identify and/or implement opportunities to improve existing processes.
- Work with Engineering communities and strategic suppliers.
- Be able to articulate any problem areas to leadership and have potential solutions.
- Track, monitor and assist in solving supply chain issues as they arise.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Oracle System experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Self Motivated and Energetic.
- Familiarity with managing metrics/KPI's.
- Terms and Conditions experience a must.
- Direct FAR knowledge.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $164010

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
