Job Summary

Essential Duties

Manage BIM (Building Information Modeling) models for multi-trade collaboration efforts to assist Project Managers, Engineers, and other AEC professionals identify and reduce risk; forecast more accurate construction cost estimates; and plan and visualize an entire project using space use simulations and 3D visualizations. Manage and provide leadership of a team of BIM Specialists to ensure their effective performance and productivity. Oversee BIM projects and workflows, monitor progress to ensure that projects are completed within designated timelines. Work closely with direct reports to establish project directives, deliverables, and performance expectations. Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to budget parameters. Develop and provide a comprehensive BIM Coordination Schedule for Spatial Coordination meetings and milestones.



Minimum Requirements

Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, and 24 months in the job offered or related occupation requiring BIM modeling in the commercial construction industry, OR a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering or related field and 60 months in the job offered or related occupation requiring BIM modeling in the commercial construction industry. Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.

Experience to include:

  1. Two years of experience using design software such as AutoDesk, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and Revit to design mechanical systems in a commercial construction environment.
  2. Two years of experience collaborating with senior project management teams and other project stakeholders relating to BIM coordination.
  3. Two years of experience developing BIM execution plans, budget reports, and estimates for BIM projects.
  4. Two years of experience providing technical BIM support to both internal teams and external customers.
  5. One year of experience leading/mentoring/training/or supervising other BIM Specialists or other BIM professionals.
  6. Compelling presentation and facilitation skills and demonstrated experience working within a collaborative team environment.
  7. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
