As Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and/or supervising the activities of professionals who are involved in diverse projects in the field of Information Technology. This position serves as the Government's point of contact in day-to-day operations.

Major tasks, duties, and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the activities of the different IT project teams that are meant to work towards achieving a common purpose
  • Make sure that project execution plans are established and executed
  • Review and/or approve adjustments in project outlays
  • Schedule and oversee meetings that have to do with IT projects
  • Administer and manage annual budgets for the execution of different IT projects
  • Make sure that whatever IT project is being executed is carried out according to the required standards
  • Assign duties and areas of authority to different IT project managers
  • Monitor and evaluate the performances of different project managers and their teams
  • Oversee the recruitment of required qualified persons who will work in each project team.
  • Provide technical supervision and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to the contract
  • Lead the Program/Project Support Contract team in providing best business practices
  • Responsible for overseeing all contractual responsibilities and delivery of all contract deliverables
  • Ensure the efficient, effective, and economical level of contract support is provided to the government
  • Provide oversight of staff and support activities
  • Maintain contract costs
  • Coordinate with the COR and as required by the PM0 to fill vacancies with the most qualified
  • Manage overall contract performance to include: providing subcontract management, overseeing invoicing, contract change proposals; and understanding the needs and customer expectations to ensure customer satisfaction

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 15-18 years of total experience, or equivalent
  • 8-15 years of demonstrated DOD management experience, including 3+ years leading DOD ACAT information technology programs
  • 3 years of Program Management support to DOD business systems acquisition programs
  • 10+ years of experience providing oversight of large, multi-functional project teams, preferably in a systems development environment, and planning And managing complex tasks sometimes under tight budget and time constraints
    Possess an in-depth working knowledge in software life cycle development; strong management and leadership, written and oral communications skills; experience in Government acquisition; familiarity with industry best practices; and Government contract and subcontract management
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, formal education, and/or extensive experience with major software implementations
  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.

Preferred:

  • PMP certification
  • Army IT experience
  • Certification in IT services management, such as ITIL, is preferred
