DCSA's Field Operations Directorate, Central Region is looking for a Supervisory Investigator to serve as one of four Regional Mission Directors. The selected candidate will manage and direct field operations within a multi-state region, with responsibility for multiple field offices tasked with conducting national security and suitability background investigations for DCSA. As a SUPERVISORY INVESTIGATOR (REGIONAL MISSION DIRECTOR) the incumbent will manage and direct field operations within a multi-state region, with responsibility for multiple field offices tasked with conducting national security and suitability background investigations for DCSA.

The incumbent will be responsible for the efficient and cost effective workload management of the investigations program, ensuring DCSA is producing the highest quality investigations in order for customers to make the most informed adjudicative decisions; and for assisting in implementing transformational investigative policy, such as Trusted Workforce 2.0 and other national level initiatives.

Routine duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversight and management of the regions multi-million dollar resources and programs (budget, acquisition, IT, etc.) and workforce initiatives. Formulating recommendations to the Regional Director and Background Investigations (BI) Headquarters for modifications of resource planning and allocations, operational guidance or other matters beyond incumbent's authority.
• Directing and personally providing technical guidance and staff monitoring/assistance to subordinate investigative activities through staff visits, directives, correspondence, reports, reviews, conferences and training; coordinating with BI and DCSA Regional Headquarters (HQ), other Regional Mission Directors (RMD), Mission Deputy Assistant Directors, operational support staff, such as Policy and Business Analytics, and other internal and external entities related to the investigations mission.
