DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE

The Global Trainee Program is an intensive two-year program that supports the development of promising professionals with the potential to become future leaders in Tenaris. A Global Trainee will build expertise, engage with colleagues around the world, and demonstrate performance while learning about Tenaris's culture and industrial heritage leaving them prepared to take the next steps in their career.

Contributes to the Accounting department while he/she learns, trains, and improves skills in that particular area in order to gain a profound understanding of processes, products, and services.

Main Accounting responsibilities: Ensures that accounting records duly reflect corporate operations. Makes accounting entries for consolidation purposes, records and classifies income, expense, and investment transactions, analyzes P&L and asset accounts, reconciles bank accounts, verifies appropriate allocation of expenses and all related activities as required.

Main Responsibilities of a Global Trainee:

  • Observes core processes through on-the-job training, project assignments, and training activities.
  • Analyzes information and prepares different deliverables as reports and processes. Gains deep knowledge of the processes he/she is exposed to.
  • Develops specific projects within the Accounting department.
  • Develops and manages a set of Key Performance Indicators to monitor and measure the area's results.
  • Maintains regular contact with other areas of the company, and interacts with different hierarchical levels in order to achieve the expected performance and results.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well organized
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus
