Completely knowledgeable and able to paint or remove paint from contract units in accordance with customer specifications. Understands and applies various corrosion control methods and technologies. Position reports to the Lead or other Supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Competent in all forms of Industrial coatings and paint to include interior and exterior applications.
  • Good working knowledge of prepping structural steel to include rust inhibitors, primers, reformers, and finish coats.
  • Must have working knowledge of drywall finishing, flooring and glazing.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment, must be able to climb and work off of ladders, elevated platforms, and wear fall arrest gear.
  • Must have normal color vision, freedom from fear of heights, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to pass a respirator physical and be able to wear various types of respirators.
  • Must comply with all Safety practices and Environmental regulations.
  • Must be able to research, specify, and order materials. Must have computer skills to include computer-based time keeping programs and MS Office products.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • High School or equivalent. No rehires, unless approved by local HR/LR and CE Manager.
  • Must be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance (TSSSBI) and access to the work location.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must pass pre-hire drug screening and Fit-for-Duty physical.
  • Must be able to work in a remote location with limited medical personnel and facilities.
  • Will need to bring: Social Security Card, original state issued birth certificate or Naturalization Certificate and valid driver's license and certifications listed in Additional Mandatory Requirements.
  • Must have OSHA-10 card, Construction Industry

Preferred Qualifications:

a. Tile and carpet layouts and installation

b. Knowledge & experience in Road, Parking Lot, Airfield striping equipment

c. Knowledge & experience in Sign making Software, FlexiSign Pro & Mutoh printer equipment and materials

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical construction environment with associated hazards, occasional lifting to 40 pounds, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness. Must be physically able to obtain certifications required to perform job duties. Must be able to work in locations as high as 100 feet above ground level and possess knowledge and experience to be able to perform all assigned duties in particular area of expertise. Use personal protective equipment as required.
