Basic FunctionProvides day-to-day tactical condition monitoring support for equipment at the site. Collects, trends, and completes initial analysis of condition monitoring data. Point of contact for the units in making initial equipment troubleshooting recommendations for the site. Works closely with the Unit Personnel, Area Maintenance and Reliability Engineers in making Condition Monitoring recommendations. Follows up on recommendations for accuracy and knowledge sharing.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Collects, trends, and completes analysis of condition monitoring data.
• Makes initial Condition Monitoring recommendations and writes notification describing the equipment issue.
• Creates detailed analysis reports to enhance the understanding of machinery faults to Operations and Maintenance.
• Monitors equipment start-up after overhauls or shutdowns to ensure equipment is within reliable operating ranges.
• Assists with equipment lubrication troubleshooting in assigned unit as needed.
• Collects equipment oil samples in assigned unit, review results and makes recommendations.
• Participate as Condition Monitoring Reliability Representative on assigned capital projects as needed.
• Participates on teams developed to investigate equipment reliability issues at the site.
• Dialog with area operations and maintenance specialists.
• Mentor less experienced MCMA personnel.
• Minimum Education Level – High School or GED
• Vibration Institute Category 1 Certification, or equivalent – within one year of entering the MCMA position.
• Vibration Institute Category 2 Certification, or equivalent – within three years of entering the MCMA position
