Sr. Software Engineer B3

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer with a strong background in building scalable high-quality and high-performance digital solutions. With a focus on Spring Boot, Java , Spring Batch the ideal candidate will contribute to the development of innovative projects enhancing our technical capabilities and driving forward our mission to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Roles and responsibilities
  • Java/Java EE/Spring microservice API development while guiding in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
  • Designing, developing and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for critically important systems
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Ensure designs follow specifications
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and communicating these for architectural review
  • Assisting the project manager by compiling information from the current systems, analyzing the program requirements, and ensuring that it meets the specified time requirements.
  • Resolves moderate problems associated with the designed programs and provides technical guidance on complex programming.
  • Design and Programming skills on HTML5, Java script, Dojo, JQuery, CSS, and an in-depth knowledge of the DOM, JSON.
  • Good working knowledge of APIs - Development, tools (Blueprint, OpenAPI, Swagger)
  • Good working knowledge of Authentication standards (LDAP, oAuth2 and SAML) and familiarity with incorporating Authorization aspects into the UI framework.
  • Experience in advanced JavaScript developing rich, interactive web applications over REST or WebSocket
  • Strong experience with UX Frameworks, UI Containers, Caching, Mobile, In memory grids
  • Experience in Design Patterns, Coding Standards, Coding Modularity, Prototypes.
  • Creating proper user documentation in the work assignments.
Required qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of Java 8, Microservices, Spring-boot, API Development and AWS
  • 8+ years of experience using one or more JS frameworks - Angular (Must Have), React, Backbone & Underscore, or similar MVC.
  • Proficient in Core Java /J2EE technologies & Spring framework
  • Hands-on experience in the development of RESTFUL web services & spring boot based microservices Should be aware of CICD tools like Jenkins, Docker etc
  • Knowledge of commonly used IDEs like Eclipse etc and UNIX scripts.
  • Excellent communication skill and participates actively in team meetings discussions and be a specialist in Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
  • Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements envisioning system features and functionality and enhance organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests exploring opportunities to contribute to job accomplishments.
  • Experience in PCF environment
  • Worked in Senior Technical Roles and have good experience of system study of complex applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, teammate, self-motivated, ability to handle multi-tasking, hardworking, practical project management and result oriented.
  • Highly flexible technical expert with ability to master and work with a wide variety of technologies.
  • Skills to develop an application by using Full stack technology and delivered effectively, efficiently, on time, in-specification, and in a cost-effective way.

The annual salary for this position is between $52K – $137,600K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
