Responsibilities

Job Summary:

  • The Laboratory Manager oversees day-to-day operational, personnel, and financial activities of the laboratory and related testing, reporting to the Administrative Director for administrative matters and the Laboratory Medical Director for medical affairs. Additionally, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Certification required by either MT(ASCP) or CT(ASCP).
  • Graduate degree in medical technology, business or hospital administration, and a minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred).
  • Administrative/supervisory experience in a hospital clinical laboratory is advantageous.
  • BS or BA with a minimum of 5 years of administrative/supervisory experience in a hospital clinical laboratory will be considered.

Job Skills/others:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of various clinical and anatomical laboratory procedures.
  • Proficiency in managerial skills and techniques.
  • Understanding of accounting, statistics, and office procedures.
  • Adept at performing laboratory procedures and utilizing equipment.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Capable of developing policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Competent in data analysis, statistical reports, and decision-making.

Work Environment:
Hazards include exposure to potentially infectious patients, body fluids, and materials, as well as working with toxic or flammable substances.
