Senior Actuarial Associate (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):

Execute quarterly processes supporting individual annuities and institutional retirement GAAP/Stat/Tax/AOI forecast. Assist in analyzing results, preparing, and presenting results to retirement strategies senior leaders and other business partners. Work closely with retirement strategies Finance and Enterprise Valuation for forecast related deliverables. Work closely with Actuarial Modeling team and IT area to enhance existing capabilities and to ensure timely model production runs are performed. Enhance in-house analytical tools and processes. Ad hoc research and development related to the individual annuities and institutional retirement businesses.

100% telecommuting permitted. Candidate may reside and work anywhere in the U.S.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $126,000.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, or a related field, and 2 years of post-baccalaureate related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
  • US GAAP/Stat financial reporting standards in both annuities and pension risk transfer;
  • Working with annuities and pension risk transfer admin systems and admin system data;
  • Actuarial sensitivity analysis;
  • Actuarial model testing and UAT;
  • Preparing year-end actuarial memorandums;
  • Database management software, including SQL;
  • Microsoft Excel and VBA;
  • Microsoft Access;
  • Python; and
  • Actuarial Modeling Software, including MG-ALFA, MG-Trition, GGY-AXIS, Polysystems or Prophet.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in Utilizing Data Visualization Tools: Tableau.

Certification: Must have passed at least 4 actuarial exams toward the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
