Production AssociateJob Description:
Production Associate is someone who responsible for learning various production support roles. Able to assist throughout the plant when needed.

Location city, state:
Hicksville, NY

Hours: 3:00pm - 1:00am, Shift schedules could include days, nights, weekends, some holidays, hours subject to business needs

Wage:
$20.59

Required Qualifications & Experiences:
18 years or older
6+ months of manufacturing experience
Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences:
High School Diploma or GED
Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
Communicates work order progress to supervisor and production operators
Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team
Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
Knowledge of various pieces of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment. Examples include but not limited to baggers, palletizers and cookers.
Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team
Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:
Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime

Dairy Foods:


This role is at a Dairy Foods manufacturing facility for Land O'Lakes, creating dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness.

We believe there's power in every drop of milk our farmers produce, and by improving production and finding innovative uses for that milk, we add a little good to people's lives.

Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check.

Internal Candidates:

Exempt employees are expected to be in their position for a minimum of one year before posting to an open position and hourly employees are expected to be in their position for a minimum of six months before posting to an open position, unless business needs require moving beforehand, and current manager approves the internal move.

Internal candidates who are on a final written warning and/or performance improvement plan are not eligible to apply for an internal opening.
