Summary

This position is part of the Office of Legacy Management, Department of Energy. As a Realty Specialist, you will serve as the point of contact on real estate acquisition, utilization, and disposition issues for properties managed by the Office of Legacy Management.



Duties

As a Realty Specialist, you will:

  • Prepare, compose, and sign in-grants, out-grants and leases for purchase and disposition of all types of real property interests.
  • Participate with other program secretarial offices in reviewing transition plans and closure plans to facilitate transfers to the Office of Legacy Management (LM).
  • Perform research, plan, review, and execute directed aspects of realty acquisition, management, and disposition for compliance with current regulations.
  • Prepare real estate packages and documents for Senior Realty Officers approval and execution, within budget limitations, operational requirements, and appropriate realty interests.
  • Manage real property records, files and databases through paper and electronic media.
  • Compose site evaluation reports by researching and identifying issues with real property to be transferred to LM for maintenance or disposal by lease, sale, or transfer to other agencies, state or local governments, or private groups.
