ABOUT

The Audiology team within the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is seeking two 4th Year Audiology Externs beginning approximately May-June 1st 2025 through May-June 1st 2026. The externship provides a dynamic experience in pediatric audiology working in an interdisciplinary setting. Externs work amongst our otolaryngology clinics, inside our children's hospital, and with the craniofacial team. The externship includes a comprehensive experience in pediatric diagnostics, pediatric rehabilitation to include hearing aids, osseointegrated devices, and cochlear implants, newborn hearing screenings, and electrophysiology with sedated/natural sleep ABR evaluations. Our team of 8 audiologists are state licensed and the majority hold ASHA Clinical Certificates of Competency in Audiology. The mission of the division is to provide outstanding medical care in a patient- and family-centered care environment.
