Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The PT Technician III, Theater performs technical functions at a higher level of complexity. Diagnoses, solves problems, and independently repairs, installs, and builds equipment and systems .
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for woodworking, construction, and painting of sets/props for productions Rigs and hangs lights and scenery Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to work at great heights Ability to reach, stand, and stoop Ability to follow safety precautions at all times Skilled in the use of power tools PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
Equipment used includes, general carpentry equipment Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position Work is performed inside and outside with some exposure to power tools and paint fumes May require some weekends REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Carpentry experience Experience using power tools High School Diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Salary
Hourly Pay Rate is $15.24
