Director of Parking - Parking and Traffic Services
Salary:
$65,000 to $70,000
Exempt. Benefits and bonus eligibility.
General SummaryThe Director of Parking's primary objective is to serve the needs of the parking department staff and clients. The position requires a very strong aptitude for team and consensus building, understanding all aspects of event-based parking operations and staffing. Argus parking managers will report into the Director.
Principal Duties and Responsibilitieso Lives the company Mission by championing it in all interactions with staff, clients and patrons.o In constant pursuit of professionalizing Argus parking operations at each venue to include formulating and adhering to SOP's, adoption and use of technologies (Samsara) and fleet maintenance.o Plans and holds regularly scheduled agenda-based parking meetings to review goals, expectations and operations. o Focused on staffing and recruiting to ensure events are fully staffed by Argus employees and will serve as the parking department new hire orientation liaison.o Demonstrates ability to select, develop, mentor, train, and implement great parking management teams.o Works in conjunction with venue management to improve staff retention and engagement.o The Director will office from the location on Fox Street with the expectation of leading in the field as necessary. o Manages the parking team to their specific weekly billable expectations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requiredo Demonstrates positive leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills to aid in developing employees.o Understands and models leadership and professionalism in actions, dress and grooming.o Must be pragmatic, organized and detailed. Has the capacity to "think" and "do".o Must be computer literate and have strong understanding in ABI, Google Docs and Microsoft Office. o Must be able to respond to change in a positive and productive way. o Sets the pace. Physical Demands of the Job While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephone and copy/scanning devices. Is capable of moving about the event site(s) before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff; constantly communicates with a sense of urgency via cell, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
Psychological Demands While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.
Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including:
following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.
Employees in this role will constantly be in a leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in a prescribed time frame.
This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including:ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.
Working Conditions The essential functions of this position are performed both indoors and outdoors.
The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud during events, depending on the manager's location, and minimal during non-event times.
Fast paced environment in parking lots during event days. Longer hours/days are necessary.
