ResponsibilitiesAscension Maternal Fetal Medicine is looking for a Nurse Practitioner for our MFM team.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Maternal Fetal Medicine to provide medical services to patients.
Position Highlights:
- Monday through Friday - day shift
- Provide postpartum care and wound care/check, postpartum hypertension education and blood pressure visits
- Work collaboratively with supervising MFM's to provide increased clinic efficiently and patient access to care.
Responsibilities:
- Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
- Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Orthopedic Physician Assistant preferred.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
