Dentons US LLP is currently looking for an Infrastructure Senior Network Architect. This is a senior technical position within the Solutions team. This position will lead larger projects related to network technology refreshes, cloud migrations and acquisition integrations. The ideal candidate will possess a broad-based understanding of disaster recovery, networking, Azure endpoint route management and have experience in designing highly available Infrastructure services. Expertise in Azure's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings, along with the ability to implement and maintain these systems in a secure fashion. The role involves interacting with executives to translate business needs into cloud solutions and managing projects from inception to completion. This position is primarily remote.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and manage Azure Network environments, considering aspects such as scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Ensure the alignment of network architecture with industry best practices and Azure guidelines.
  • Evaluate and implement Azure security services, Azure AD, Azure Security Center, and Azure Key Vault to ensure secure and reliable cloud environments.
  • Implement highly available redundant endpoints and traffic routing.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network from bad actors.
  • Manage and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Troubleshooting network issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze trends and adjust to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Translate complex business requirements into cloud solutions, integrating with existing infrastructure and services where necessary.
  • Oversee networking project documentation, managing timelines, resources, risks, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Present proposals, updates, and progress reports to executives, ensuring that communications are effective, clear, and align with the Firm's strategic goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Mentor a team of cloud computing specialists, encouraging continual learning and growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors/service providers as well as negotiate contracts where necessary.
  • Future state management by maintaining a strong awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or at least 8 years of related experience in network administration.
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure Administrator certifications, CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in network design and endpoint management with a minimum 5 years of experience managing Azure Virtual Network, Azure Active Directory, and other Azure networking services.
  • Deep understanding of Azure's suite of services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Troubleshooting Tools.
  • Practical experience with Azure PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS implementations.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Azure PowerShell or Azure CLI.
  • Familiarity with Azure management and governance tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, and Azure Cost Management.
  • Understanding of compliance issues related to cloud and endpoint services.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and related routing considerations.
  • Desirable to have experience in Network & Telecom systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong discovery, diagraming and documentation practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including executives and technical teams.
