The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Boston - Cambridge, an iconic property overlooking the Charles River, is seeking a Food and Beverage manager to join their leadership team This hotel offers a seasonal rooftop restaurant, live music at Scullers Jazz Club, and event space. It's only a half mile from Harvard Business School, one mile from Harvard Square, and less than two miles from Boston University and MIT

This position will be supporting 2-3 outlets at a time (of the total seven outlets on the property). In this role, you will be on the floor overseeing operations in the food and beverage outlets for a team of roughly 15-20 people per shift and you will report to the hotel's Director of Restaurants.

The ideal candidate for this position will be an engaging leader with a passion for creating exceptional experiences, the ability to multi-task, and the desire to foster a culture of respect and positivity. Prior food and beverage leadership experience, including banquets, is preferred. Hotel experience is a plus

What will I be doing?

As a Food & Beverage Manager, you will direct and organize the activities of the Food & Beverage outlets to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service
  • Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation
  • Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service
  • Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff
