RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Procure production materials, emphasizing cost, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Source non-production goods, MRO, and related equipment.
  • Utilize various inputs for planning and procurement, such as SAP outputs, sales data, supplier performance, and production-related information.
  • Support Lean practices for raw material procurement and waste reduction in the supply chain.
  • Optimize inventory for meeting targets and enhancing on-time customer delivery.
  • Coordinate activities across different PTI locations.
  • Drive cost reduction and Supply Chain initiatives proactively.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on price, quality, delivery, and other terms ethically and in line with regulations.
  • Ensure purchasing aligns with lean/visual manufacturing concepts.
  • Maintain effective communication with inter-departmental teams.
  • Perform additional duties like maintaining records, tracking premium freight, vendor sourcing, and supporting MRB decisions.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficiency in:
    • SAP - Business Enterprise System
    • Microsoft Office
  • Essential verbal and written communication skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • APICS or PMAC certification preferred.
  • 5 years' experience in purchasing within a diverse manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management (required)

Experience
5 years' experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment (required)

Licenses & Certifications
APICS certification (preferred)
