Annapolis, Maryland, United States Anne Arundel Orthopaedic Surgeons Full time

Anne Arundel Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) is seeking a Fellowship trained Foot & Ankle Surgeon to join our group in Annapolis Maryland. We are seeking a surgeon wishing to embark on an ownership track in a small to medium-sized group. AAOS presently is a group of 5 fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeons (sports medicine, knee and shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction, total hip and total knee replacement surgery, upper extremity surgery, and traditional fracture and injury care. The physicians in our group wish to discontinue referring out those patients with orthopaedic foot & ankle problems and provide these expanded services for patients in our service area.

Anne Arundel Orthopaedic Surgeons is a division of the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics (CAO). Functioning as a traditional, private practice model orthopaedic group, AAOS exhibits the culture of a small group practice while benefiting from ownership in a large orthopaedic organization. Centralized contracting and revenue cycle management, strong human resources support, and effective administrative, IT, and compliance support systems are managed through participatory physician leadership control to blend the best qualities of traditional group practice and large group presence. The CAO is a unique model for medical practice and provides opportunity for individual physician ownership. The orthopaedic physician is not just an employee, but is also an owner, entrepreneur, and leader in the practice. Our forward thinking, physician and administrative leadership provides guidance for the medical practice of today and for tomorrow.

Anne Arundel Orthopaedic Surgeons was founded in Annapolis Maryland in the early 1980s. It is a well-recognized, established orthopaedic group practice. AAOS joined the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics shortly after CAO was founded in 2017. The practice sees patients at its offices in Annapolis, Bowie and Glen Burnie. The surgeons perform operations at the Luminis Health Medical Center, and two physician-owned ambulatory surgery centers, Riva Road Surgery Center, and Advanced Surgical Care of Maryland. AAOS surgeons currently provide orthopaedic care in total joint replacement, sports injuries, shoulder and knee arthroscopy and reconstruction, upper extremity, and fracture care.

Our physicians offer conservative, non-operative treatment as well as surgical care. AAOS also has a very active Physical Therapy practice that can seamlessly provide precisely the therapy prescribed by the physicians.
