The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Arizona/Banner-University Medical Center Tucson is actively recruiting for a 4th Gynecologic Oncologist to join our team.

Banner Health has invested in growing the clinical enterprise, with a new hospital and expansion of the Cancer Center OP facility.

This is a unique opportunity for a junior or mid-level faculty member in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. The successful candidate will receive a faculty appointment to the University of Arizona consistent with their credentials.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Completion of ABOGapproved Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency.
  • Completion of ABOGapproved Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship.
  • Board certified or eligible.
  • Clinical research experience, as well as manuscript publication, preferred
  • Seeking an individual who wishes to be integrally involved in clinical research, contributing to the success of the clinical trials effort
  • Our highrisk program is an opportunity for a faculty member who is interested in genetics, risk evaluation and research.
  • Desire to grow surgical areas of minimally invasive and vaginal surgery.
FACULTY & PROVIDER SUPPORT

  • A clinically active associate professor with focus on quality care initiatives
  • Assistant professor with a growing focus on clinical trials
  • Renowned senior physicianscientist/leader of the GYN/ONC clinical trials team who developed and leads the highrisk genetics clinic
  • APP support (PA: inpatient | NP: clinic | FA: GYN/ONC surgery)


The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center with infrastructure in place to support clinical research including assistance in developing IITs and grants.


  • UACC serves to support research for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Interventional clinical trials, as well as correlative studies are supported by the UACC Clinical Trials unit.
  • The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has recently brought on a Vice-Chair for Research with the goal to increase and enhance research efforts within the Department.
  • The department recently secured a $2 million estate gift which will support an Endowed Chair in Gynecologic Oncology, a first for the department.
