Summary

Duties

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Indian Arts & Crafts Board, Museum of the Plans Indian (MPI), Browning, MT.

At the full performance level (GS-09) the major duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Plans and execute the museums exhibitions.
  2. Responsible for the documentation, care, and preservation, and use of the MPI collections.
  3. Responsible for overseeing the MPI's outreach and education programs.
  4. Responsible for maintenance of the historic and contemporary files.
  5. Responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and physical care of the facility.
  6. Responsible for procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment and providing input to budget.
  7. Oversees Museum Staff.
The Indian Arts & Crafts Board has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework only during an emergency or natural disaster.

Salary Range Information:

GS-09: $59,966 to $77,955 per annum

First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
