General Function:

Person is capable of setting up and operating various types of machinery to produce a high-volume quality part.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Set up and operate various types of machinery.
  2. Perform various type set-up functions including but not limited to dies, feed adjustments, etc.
  3. Make adjustments as required to insure quality piece is produced.
  4. Check all safety features (guards, lights, pullbacks, etc.) to insure they are working properly.
  5. Set up fixtures for feeding, loading/unloading devices.
  6. Run piece part and check for accurate set-up.
  7. Produce a quality part.
  8. Ability to make adjustments to various machines.
  9. Must be knowledgeable of all phases of the machinery that work is being performed on and should be able to run majority of machines within the area.
  10. Maintain accurate piece counts. Must be able to keep accurate records, time card, set-up card, etc.
  11. Must perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  12. Good housekeeping.

Ability to set up and operate various types of machines/presses, etc. Normal dexterity required. Previous set-up experience or training required.
