As a Visual Information Specialist, you will:


Develop communication strategies in the form of visual information for a variety of organizational and technical projects and coordinating these efforts with the Office of Communication and Knowledge Management and other customers.

Conducting research and authentication including copyright and/or license infringement and coordinating with the Office of Chief Counsel.

Develop authoritative recommendations and guidelines for carrying out a wide variety of digital and visual communications activities, communication, design practices, graphics consultation, guidance, and production timelines.

Define program objectives, divide programs into discrete projects, estimate resource requirements, set priorities, establish work schedules, and approves program plans prepared by the senior staff in the technical divisions.

Uses a high level of imagination and ingenuity to ensure that abstract, technical, or sensitive programs are effectively communicated to different audiences.

The ideal candidate has expertise in communicating information and data through visually compelling graphics, illustrations, and multimedia presentations.

This position applies creative and novel design and data visualization skills in the field of transportation and plays a crucial role in visually communicating transportation data.
