Diagnoses include COPD, weakness, FTT, abdominal pain, cellulitis and other general medical surgical cases. Also, 2 south has surgical patients consisting of GYN cases, hernia repairs, abdominal cases, orthopedic cases, bariatric cases etc. Some surgical patients require epidurals.

Some patients on 2 south are bedded as intermediate care. Some of these cases include bariatric cases, epidural patients, and higher acuity cases based on diagnoses and status of patient. The PCS does not typically take patients but can flex up if needed. Pilot Team Nursing Model(RN, LPN for 6 patients)
