Summary

About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist performing position management to assigned organization under various personnel systems.



Duties
  • Research staffing regulations and procedures such as Title 5 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manuals to provide regulatory guidance to customers.
  • Advise management, supervisors and employees on a wide range of civilian personnel management issues, practices and policies.
  • Process and code the full range of personnel actions using an automated system such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS).
  • To include pay, benefits, hiring, work schedule changes, terminations, name changes, change in duty status, veterans' preference status, and realignment actions assuring appropriate codes and remarks.
  • Utilize an Automated Stopper and Referral System to input and retrieve priority placement information, register, and place employees in outplacement programs.
  • Apply the functionality of various Civilian Personnel automated staffing programs, such as EMPres, DCPDS, FASCLASS, ASARS and USA STAFFING.
