Job Description

Skyworks Irvine, CA design center has leading R&D and product development capabilities. When you join our team in Irvine, you'll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community who support each other to create cutting edge chipsets for cell phones. Working and living in Irvine provides a wonderful lifestyle in a vibrant city consistently ranked as one of the country's safest cities We are looking for a Contract Engineering Technician to join the team. Duration of contract - 6 months.

Job Responsibilities

  • Primary job responsibilities may include automated or semi-automated testing of parts, data post-processing, plotting, statistical analysis, documentation
  • Upgrading and building testers per provided diagrams and drawings
  • Building harnesses and wirings for setups
  • Basic setups troubleshooting and debugging
  • Troubleshoots and repairs test equipment as necessary
  • Setup and reconfigures test benches for project specific needs
  • Inventory and documentations, lab organization, records.
  • Installs automation software patches and firmware updates
  • Run automated testers and provide data summary
Job Requirements
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with RF test equipment: multi-meter, Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope, signal generators, power meter, power supplies
  • Knowledge of RF fundamentals: S-parameter, Smith chart, impedance matching, NF, P1dB, IP3
  • Proficiency in Bench level/trouble shooting electronic equipment
  • Ability to understand schematics and diagrams
  • Familiarity with handling RF devices in an ESD environment
  • Experience with MS-Office, Excel and Windows OS
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Preferably with some knowledge with C/C++ or similar
  • Some experience with Cadence, HFSS, ADS simulations preferred
  • Associate Degree preferred with 4 + years of related experience
