Department Information
The Department of Information Technology has programs that prepare students to solve problems and apply new technologies within an increasingly interconnected and changing global environment. They emphasize career success through lifelong learning and professional development at all levels of the curriculum. The Department offers a Bachelor of Science (BSIT), Master of Science (MSIT), and Doctor of Science (DScIT) in Information Technology. Middle Georgia State¿s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program is accredited by ABET. MGA is also designed as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE) by the National Security Agency.
Job Summary
The Department of Information Technology within the School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Information Technology: teaching, research, scholarly activities, and service responsibilities in the area of Information Technology. Teaching duties may be on the Macon and Warner Robins campuses. Position requires a Doctorate in Information Technology or a related discipline. This position is a ten-month tenure track.
Responsibilities
This position involves teaching, advising, scholarship, and service to the institution and community as well as oversight of the MSOT Fieldwork Program. Responsibilities may include day/and or evening classes, online classes, weekend classes, course development and program planning/evaluation, fieldwork placements, relationship building and contract facilitation, as well as committee work as assigned. Some travel will be required.

PhD or equivalent in IT or management related disciplines

Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor
