The Central Animal Hospital in St. Pete is seeking an ambitious Medical Director to join our Team

Central Animal was established in the late 1970s and has served the St. Petersburg and greater Tampa Bay community for over 40 years. We offer unique services in-house including Wellness/Prevention, surgery, regenerative therapies, integrative medicine & nutrition, canine rehab, canine atopic dermatitis, radiosurgery, in-house pharmacy, orthopedic surgery, cancer treatment, cryosurgery, and boarding.

Our hospital:

  • 4-day work week Monday - Friday from 8AM – 6PM (with a 1-hour lunch break) and CLOSED on the weekends

      Responsibilities :

      The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance. The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered.

      In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Medical Director are responsible for directing staff and the overall management of the practice, under the direction of NVA Divisional Leadership
