Vehicle Fleet Maintenance Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW:

To provide efficient repair and maintenance services for a variety of vehicles and equipment including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain vehicle fleet
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues
  • Provide guidance to junior technicians
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance
  • Perform safety inspections
  • Paint and body work when necessary

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in vehicle maintenance
  • Proficient in repair of Brakes, Electrical, PMI, Powertrain, and Trailing Equipment
  • Medium/Heavy Truck Master ASE Certification preferred
  • Computer skills and knowledge of gas and diesel engines
  • Experience with precision instruments and lifting devices
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles with manual or automatic transmissions
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Strong communication skills

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas, dust, diesel fumes and noise
  • May be required to drive to off-site locations
  • Work in varying climate conditions and with chemicals
  • Flexible hours based on operational needs
