Job Summary:
Join the dynamic Colaska team as a Staff Accountant based in Anchorage. You will work under the Assistant Corporate Controller, responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, and reports, contributing to month-end activities, audits, and special projects.

Main Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

  • Daily cash position tracking and analysis
  • Assisting with weekly cash forecasts
  • Maintaining supplier and customer files
  • Fixed asset and lease accounting
  • Banking and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Financial closing activities and reporting
  • Reviewing financial information for accuracy
  • Participating in audits
  • Ad hoc projects and additional financial reporting

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience, preferable in construction/manufacturing
  • Familiarity with GAAP, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office suite
  • Motivated, organized, and effective communicator
