As a Principal Data Engineer for Enterprise Data, you will be leading design through implementation for reporting and analytics across enterprise functions, collaboration with a variety of departments and business units to enable operations and strategy. By creating connection points across our data, you will super-charge insights from reporting and other decision making tools. You will also work cross functionally with others involved in data and technology to level up our data management practice as you deliver on key business outcomes that rely on high quality data. The ideal candidate cares deeply about company-wide impact, and understands that growth and maturity require servant leadership, humility, patience, and adaptability; and enjoys working through foundational problems, both through data management and technology management gaps.

Responsibilities:Create and manage end-to-end essential enterprise data products that positively impact operational reporting across Riot, starting with financial and human resources data. Design, implement and operate the enterprise data model and enterprise data warehouse for Riot Games, globallyCollaborate with systems, data and analytics teams across the enterprise to integrate data, optimize technical and business processes, and consult on best practices in data management, reporting, etcSet, lead, and contribute to technical vision, direction, and standards across enterprise teams, using your expertise to guide data management practice across enterpriseHelp to identify, coach, and mentor non-data professionals who are involved in data activities but who may not be formally trained in data managementPromote adherence to engineering excellence including code maintainability, quality, monitoring, operational excellence, and documentationConstantly innovate to improve enterprise data management and unlock the value of data at RiotRequired Qualifications:10+ years experience technically leading and/or implementing end-to-end data management activities, from foundational activities like data governance, data quality, and metadata management, to value-deliverables like data warehousing & BI, data science and analytics, and data driven applications5+ years experience managing financial and/or HR domain data used in planning, forecasting, and reporting, and analytics processes5+ years experience translating business requirements into conceptual, logical to physical data models5+ years experience with data integration, including ETL methodologies, CDC, batch and continuous processing between source systems and data buses and/or data warehouses5+ years integrating data across enterprise applications, RDBMS systems and big data systems, with familiar in:Oracle, Workday, OneStream, Coupa, ConcurDatabricks & Spark, AWS Data technologies, Airflow, Delta Lake, DBT, etcDesired qualifications:Experience implementing business intelligence reports and toolsExperience implementing data processes in an enterprise event bus Experience implementing virtualized data solutions across disparate system, data and technology platformsWorking knowledge of data platform infrastructure and operationsWorking knowledge of business intelligence, data science, and analytics infrastructure and operationsOur Perks:
