Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC), a not-for-profit USCG classified OSRO, is seeking a local Chief Engineer to join our team in Ingleside, TX.Current USCG license of DDE or Chief Engineer of 500 GRT / 4000 HP or higherValid USCG STCW endorsements required: III/1 OICEW , III/2 or III/3 Chief Engineer without OSV limitation , III/4 RFPEW , III/5 Able Seafarer -Engine , and VI/1 VI/4Valid USCG STCW medical certificateExperience with Caterpillar engines, hydraulic, electrical and oil recovery equipment40-Hour Hazwoper certification desiredEmployment is contingent upon completion of a successful background check, pre-hire medical exam and drug screen, and the ability to obtain a valid driver's license and U.S. PassportResponsible for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all the machinery and associated systems aboard the vessel including shipboard propulsion, hydraulic, electrical, and auxiliary systemsTake charge of the Engine Department, including fuel, ballast, water tanks, piping and fuel and lube oil inventory of the vessel
